Hello and welcome!

Thanks for stopping by to learn a little about kimchantment.

I’m Kim Selby, a writer (by trade and for fun), who is always looking for ways to be enchanted. It might be a piece of art, a visit to an offbeat museum, a random conversation with a stranger, or even a bingewatch of an TV show I never got around to watching in real time.

Over the years I’ve posted content on a variety of sites, and have now created kimchantment to pull it all together in one place.

What you’ll find here…

My most active sections include Let’s Eat, a cooking section where I’m working on cooking recipes from around the world, and NJ Musings, a section about cool things I did in different places in New Jersey.

I’m also working (slowly) on telling a longer story about surviving the Indian Ocean Tsunami that happened on December 26, 2004 (After the Waves). Would anybody still care about this? I am not sure, which is why it is taking me so long.

I also post some original short short stories (Exactly 100), some audio content (The Enchant Me Podcast and Origins of the Muse Podcast).

Sometimes I will drop a post in kimchantments when I am not sure where to put it.

I also added The 19 Club, the only section on kimchantment that requires a paid subscription to access. It was named after our original 19 subscribers and provides bonus content not available on other areas of the site. It's where you might find a deeper dive into one of our other posts, or additional audio or written content.

As I progress, I plan to add new sections as I find more enchanting topics.
