A late summer morning and Fall is in the air. It has been for a couple of weeks now, but this is the first time I felt like mentioning it.
The leaves have begun their yearly descent, and if I knew more about the trees, I could tell you which ones are falling, which ones are changing, and which ones are still green and clinging.
The cicadas, somewhere high in those trees, are noisy. Their song – yes, I call it a song – pierces the haze.
They frighten many, but I think they are beautiful.
It’s my favorite time of year.
