It doesn’t seem time, but today, there you were.
Drifting downward with two of your friends; you glided towards the ground as if cradled by an upside-down parenthesis.
I looked up – far up – and saw more of you. Maybe ten, but probably more.
First faces turned toward the sun, proud and ruby red, reaching for its rays. Its power.
Not afraid of your fate. Waiting for it even.
Right at that moment, a breeze blew through, rustling the troops as if to whisper its tricks of the trade.
We can’t know everything, but what we do know we can share.
