The wine glass crashing to the floor really didn’t make a difference; the place was already a mess. It surprised me, as she always seemed so self-assured and put together.
I tried to clean it up, but the slices and slivers of glass were everywhere. I decided that I didn’t care and stopped.
They crunched under my feet when I stepped on them as I walked away. Actually, I ground them in a little. Left my stamp on the mess that she had already created.
She tried to hug me. I wanted to slap her.
Outward appearances can be deceiving.
